About LIBERTY LONDON FABRICS
The Ianthe was created by well-known French Art Nouveau designer R. Beauclair in approximately 1900, and was later redrawn by David Haward's Studio. Ianthe is Greek for purple or violet flowers, suggesting that the flowers in the design may have originally been drawn from violets.
Brought back from the archives in 1979 and reworked in multiple color ways. This classic is part of the Classic Collection, designs are reworked and re-coloured. And an interpretation of the most quintessential Liberty heritage designs – including Art Nouveau motifs, paisley prints, scenic landscapes and ditsy florals.
